To all parents, grandparents, and/or guardians of
teenage girls:
WISE®, Women Investing in Security and Education
invites you to encourage your High School Sophomore, Junior, or
Senior to attend the annual WISE Choices Teen
Conference for teenage girls.
Do you recall when you graduated
from high school whether you were financially literate and ready to “move out”? We are encouraging young women to plan early to become
financially literate.
This program, designed especially for young women,
focuses on financial topics such as bills; budgets and impulse
buying; credit; cost of college; apartment-living; financial
priorities; cars; phones; etc.
Attendees of previous Conferences have indicated that
the conference meets a need. That need is to discuss their personal
experiences with money and to ask specific questions in an open
forum. The WISE Choices committee is planning a special WISE Choices
Focus Group with previous attendees. The results will
guide us in expanding the October program to include additional
financial topics and to present two new financial workshops “What
are my Choices?” and “Pin the Bill on the Budget.” The conference
also includes real life experiences of how other women have
approached their financial situations.
As one of the teen attendees wrote recently, “I really liked
learning what “moving out” is really about and how to budget my
money.” Another wrote “I thought it was incredible to see what my
parents go through monthly.”
Please encourage your
daughter, niece, cousin, friend to attend to start down the road to
financial independence.

To a prosperous future,
