Teri’s mission at The Modest Economist® is to empower women to make their own financial decisions. Teri will share principles of investing (no math degree required!) so that you feel confident investing on your own or asking questions of your financial advisor. Teri’s goal is to show you that learning to invest is fun.
Speaker: Teri Frisch, The Modest Economist®
Teri founded The Modest Economist® in 2016 following a 23 year career at the global investment management firm, PIMCO. At PIMCO, Teri advised institutional investors investing on behalf of S&P 500 corporations, healthcare organizations, insurance companies, endowments, foundations and multi-employer pension plans. She also led the development of PIMCO’s advisory services in Latin America, launched the multinational corporate channel and headed the relaunch of the PIMCO secure website for clients. For many years, Teri was a senior member of PIMCO’s economic forecasting teams. Prior to joining PIMCO, Teri was a fixed income institutional sales person with E.F. Hutton and Bear Stearns. She has over 30 years of institutional investment experience and holds an MBA from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles. She received her undergraduate degree in economics from the University of California, Berkeley. Teri divides her time between New York and Southern California.
