Stephanie King, CFA
Stephanie King was most recently employed by PIMCO 2001-2018 where she served as executive vice president and head of the U.S. Public Institutional Client Practice. For the majority of her nearly 17-year tenure at PIMCO she advised a variety of institutional investors including public, corporate, foundation, insurance and healthcare across a range of asset pools including pension, operating, permanent fund and defined contribution to deliver customized investment solutions.
She held several leadership roles over the course of her PIMCO career including head of the U.S. Public Institutional Client Practice, head of the U.S. Corporate Institutional Client Practice, Global Head of Recruiting and Global Head of Diversity and Inclusion. Earlier in her PIMCO career, in addition to her primary responsibility advising the firm’s institutional investor clients, she held roles as liaison to the independent directors of the PIMCO Funds board and managed the firm’s relationship with Morningstar.
Prior to joining PIMCO in 2001, Ms. King was an associate at private equity firm Blue Capital Management, LLC and a senior associate consultant at strategic management consulting firm Bain & Company. She has 17 years of investment experience and holds an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics magna cum laude from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and achieved the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2003. Ms. King currently serves on the board of directors of WISE, Women Investing in Security and Education, an Orange County, California non-profit.
