Stephanie King is a seasoned investment management executive whose career includes seventeen years at PIMCO. As head of institutional sales groups, she drove strategy to exceed revenue targets. And, she advised and educated investors and their boards on investment strategies as a senior account manager.
Through management roles in sales, investor service and human resources, she built teams and shaped corporate culture. And, she provided firm governance via committee roles focused on fee determination, conflicts review and diversity & inclusion.
She was the first PIMCO professional to serve as the liaison to the independent directors of the PIMCO Funds board, a role she held for five years. She also contributed to the Independent Directors Council’s (IDC) July 2008 Task Force Report, “Board Oversight of Derivatives” and presented “Efficient Fund Management Using Derivatives” to the IDC Los Angeles Directors Chapter.
Earlier in her career, she was an associate at private equity firm Blue Capital Management, LLC and a senior associate consultant at strategic management consulting firm Bain & Company.
Stephanie currently uses her executive experience and investment knowledge to give back to her community through board service as a Board Member and Investment Committee Chair for Women Investing in Security & Education (WISE) and as an Advisory Board Member for the Discovery Prep School.
She holds an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics magna cum laude from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and achieved the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
