Jan Walsh

Jan Walsh is a highly motivated and accomplished insurance executive with personal and professional integrity. Her innovative sales and marketing strategies and leadership skills are the foundation of her success.

Jan started her career at Anthem Blue Cross as a Medicare Sales Rep and was quickly promoted to a Regional Sales Manager for Individual, Group and Medicare sales. In 2012, she was recruited by Word & Brown as National Sales Director, developing their Individual & Medicare division. When that division was sold, she became an Account Executive with Emerson Reid, serving as a General Agent for Group Insurance. Jan then assisted Easy Choice Health Plan integrate with WellCare, and grew the Medicare membership in Southern CA. During the acquisition of WellCare by Centene, she was promoted to Senior Manager – Broker Products. Since 2020, Jan has served as Regional Vice President for Copeland Insurance Group – an Integrity Company overseeing 26 states nationally.

Originally from St. Louis, MO, Jan graduated with a BSBA from the University of Missouri – St. Louis and received her MBA in Marketing & Management from Lindenwood University. Jan received her Professional Association of Healthcare Management certification and is an avid reader and lifelong learner.

She serves on the WISE Board and has a passion for sharing the importance of women of all ages being financially independent and “wise” with their financial decisions. She is involved with Girls Inc., another non-profit organization mentoring young girls. Her grown sons are college graduates that majored in finance, and are married with children. Jan recently moved from Laguna Niguel, CA to be closer to her growing family in the Raleigh-Durham area. Nothing beats being a Grandma!
