WISE recently joined National Charity League for a WISE original webinar, “How Much Does It Cost to Own a Pet?” WISE Board Member Ashley Fairon and WISE volunteer Stephanie Hughes brought the fan favorite budgeting workshop online, reaching more than 500 young women.
During this interactive workshop girls created a budget, selected a dog or cat, learned about both upfront and ongoing pet costs and most importantly, stayed within their budget. Many were surprised by the true cost of pet ownership! What a fun way to introduce budgeting and help plant the seeds for smart financial decisions in the future.
