Karen Choi, Fixed Income Portfolio Manager, Capital Group

Karen Choi is a fixed income portfolio manager at Capital Group. She has 23 years of investment experience and has been with Capital Group for 14 years. Earlier in her career at Capital, as a fixed income investment analyst, Karen covered utilities, regional banks and non-bank financials in the U.S. Prior to joining Capital, she was a fixed income analyst with AllianceBernstein and before that with Prudential Financial. She holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Wellesley College. She also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation. Karen is on the board of the New York Women’s Foundation. She lives in CT and NYC with her husband/partner and four daughters.

 

Sarah H. Ketterer, Chief Executive Officer, Causeway Capital

Ms. Ketterer is the Chief Executive Officer at Causeway, Portfolio Manager for the firm's Fundamental and Absolute Returns strategies, and is responsible for investment research across all sectors. Ms. Ketterer is a member of the Operating and Strategic Planning Committees. She cofounded the firm in June 2001.


From 1996 to 2001, Ms. Ketterer worked for the Hotchkis and Wiley division of Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (HW-MLIM). At HW-MLIM, she was a Managing Director and Co-head of the firm's HW-MLIM International and Global Value team. From 1990 to 1996, Ms. Ketterer was a Portfolio Manager at Hotchkis and Wiley, where she founded the International Equity product.


Ms. Ketterer earned a BA in Economics and Political Science from Stanford University and an MBA from the Tuck School, Dartmouth College. She is currently a Director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Music Center Foundation (as chair of the investment committee) and the Los Angeles World Affairs Council, and serves on the Los Angeles Advisory Board of Girls Who Invest.

 

Robin Potts, Co-Head of Real Estate Investments, Director of Acquisitions, Canyon Partners Real Estate

Robin Potts is the Co-Head of Real Estate Investments and Director of Acquisitions for CPRE. Ms. Potts has been with Canyon Partners for 15 years, is responsible for overseeing the origination and acquisitions of debt and equity investments across Canyon Partners’ real estate platforms and holds a seat on all Canyon Partners real estate investment committees. During her tenure at Canyon Partners, Ms. Potts has facilitated the acquisition, financing and development of over $14 billion of commercial real estate transactions across all asset classes including multifamily, condominium, office, retail, hospitality, industrial, senior housing, student housing, self-storage and mixed-use. Ms. Potts previously worked in the Financial Institutions Group of Credit Suisse in Los Angeles where she focused on equity, debt and M&A transactions in the mortgage real estate investment trust sector. Ms. Potts is a graduate of Harvard University, where she earned a B.A. degree in Economics.
