Helen M. Olson, Ph.D. (1936 - 2021)

Helen M. Olson, Ph.D., was a founding member of the Invest in Yourself Conference and Founder of WISE, Women Investing in Education and Security®, a nonprofit foundation formed in 1999.
She retired from a career in molecular biology and clinical chemistry having published extensively in those areas. Sadly, Helen passed away on July 1, 2021. Because of her inspiration and vision, WISE continues to educate thousands of women every year.

Dr. Olson was a founding member of a mid-county investment club and assisted with the formation of two additional investment clubs in San Clemente. She was founding President of the San Clemente Sand Dollar investment Club. Dr. Olson was a director of the Orange County regional council of the National Association of Investor’s Corporation(NAIC), where she taught stock selection methods and analysis for the NAIC. Dr. Olson was honored as UCLA Graduate Woman of the Year and taught at UCLA. She served as a volunteer and presided over numerous organizations particularly in the educational community.
